Nikki 's childhood dream in first grade was to become a teacher. Her dream was to be like her first grade teacher, Mrs Carol Stout, when she grew up because she had a way about her that made everyone feel valued and special. Although she doesn’t feel she has fully arrived to Mrs. Stout’s level, she will always strive to be as dedicated as she remembers Mrs. Stout being. Nikki began her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development 1998, however, as life began to unfold, her education was put on hold for a number of years. It was in 2009, she married her best friend Adam, who pushed her to finish her education to better their family. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development in 2009 and completed her Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 2013. She has taught Head Start/ PreK at Roan Creek Elementary for 13 years. Nikki has also worked in numerous school programs, was teacher of the year at Roan Creek in 2017, and has led, coached and taught in various other capacities. She says it is an honor to be a small part of the Gamma Mu Chapter.
